A Few of My Favorite Things

As the weather gets colder, I slowly shift into “my element.” The second the temperature falls below 50°, I dance to the top shelf of my closet and pull down my abundance of winter sweaters, boots, and everyday essentials. These are a few of my tried and true items – the ones that you won’t catch me dead without at least one of them on.

You might as well wrap these pieces in brown paper packaging tied up with string, because these are a few of my very favorite things.

Ralph Lauren Cable Knit

My favorite Ralph Lauren sweater – Yes, that is a slight stain on the collar, and yes, the tag is falling off. However, those minor defects are almost always covered by a collared button down worn underneath, so who’s to judge?

Hunter Boots

My trusty Hunter rain boots – Rain, snow, or shine, I can’t go a full week without throwing my Hunters on. These boots are just as functional as they are stylish. They look great dressed up with tights and a dress, or simply worn with blue jeans and a favorite sweater. Whatever your style, these boots are a staple in any closet.

Black Coffee (Duh)

My coffee drinking habits could give Lorelai Gilmore a run for her money. And if there’s ever a winter day that you don’t see a to-go cup in my hand, there’s a very likely chance that I’m running to get my next dose!

J.Crew Necklace

My J.Crew neck candy – While this exact necklace isn’t in stock anymore (it’s several years old), J.Crew and J.Crew Factory always have the best statement necklaces. I’m obsessed with this one, and this one too!

Tory Burch Perfume

My everyday Tory Burch scent – I bought this perfume before I started freshman year of college, and I think I have grown to love it more and more every day. The scent is timeless. Simple, elegant, feminine, but not overpowering. An outfit is never complete without a spritz of your signature perfume!

Digital Screen Glasses

These stellar new frames – These are actually a newer purchase of mine, but I instantly fell in love with them. The lenses are EBD Blue light protective; they help guard eyes from harmful blue light omitted from digital screens and our favorite tech items.

The difference that these glasses provide is astronomical. Being a student and working a desk job, a large majority of my day is spent staring at screens. These glasses make a huge difference – they decrease headaches and eye irritation. I’ve already convinced a few of my friends of their magic and they’ve invested in a pair as well! I highly recommend them if you have ever experienced eye sensitivity to technology.

Plus, these Hepburn frames are super cute, which definitely doesn’t hurt.

Everyone’s got those few items that are essential to their style. Needless to say, I am beyond excited to greet this holiday season equipped with my very favorite things!

What are you go-to, favorite items? Comment them below, I’d love to know!

My go-to’s are pretty much everything you just shared, down to the black coffee! I also love a good Lilly Pulitzer dress, Lauren James rainjacket, KJP bracelet, and simple gold hoops.

Those are all great too! A classic Lilly shift would be right up there near the top for me as well. Maybe this calls for a summer version of this post come warmer weather? Thanks for sharing!
